Roundtable Questions

This is just a starting point for the Roundtable on Staff Development.  Add your comments below each question, or add additional questions to the page.

§       What do you do to stimulate interest in technology staff development?

§       What has been your biggest success?  Do you know why?

§       Of the programs (software, online, hardware, equipment) that you use, which have teachers responded to the most?

§       How do you convince teachers that what you are providing in not an add-on?

§      Have you had “Ah-Ha” moments along the way?  What were they and what did you do with the new information?

§      How do you deal with the idea of staff development in technology to support student achievement?  Does anyone actually show teachers how to analyze data to determine what their individual students need rather than them continue to be curriculum driven?

§       Do you work with sites/schools with older equipment?  What accommodations do you make in technology staff development?

§       What about the “trophy” purchase of equipment?  New technologies purchased just for show without teacher buy-in or adequate planning for staff development?
